Netherton Foundry Spun Iron Cauldron & Stand

A giant black iron cauldron built for serious fire cooking. Inspired by the Shropshire ironmasters of the 18th century, Netherton’s spun iron cauldron is made to serve many — whether simmering slow stews over embers or boiling feasts above roaring flames. With a 25-litre capacity (16 litres recommended for cooking), it’s the centrepiece for festivals, campsites, and garden fire kitchens.

The cauldron is pre-seasoned with natural flax oil, giving it a durable, naturally non-stick finish that improves with every use. Its spun iron construction makes it thermal-shock resistant and suitable for flames, coals, gas burners, or charcoal beds. The included black iron stand lifts the cauldron securely above the fire, disassembles quickly, and packs down for transport.

FAQ's

This cauldron is best suited for large-scale outdoor cooking, group meals, garden fire kitchens, festivals, campsites, events, and self-sufficiency setups. With an estimated 25 litre rim capacity and around 16 litres of recommended cooking capacity, it is built for feeding a crowd rather than small everyday meals.

A large spun iron cauldron is ideal for stews, broths, soups, chilli, curries, beans, stocks, boiling water, and slow-cooked fire meals. It is made for generous outdoor cooking where volume, heat, and patience matter.

Yes. The cauldron is suitable for wood fires, charcoal fires, flames, embers, barbecues, and suitable gas burners when used safely. Always heat the cauldron slowly from cold and use proper fire control, heatproof gloves, and safe placement.

This is a serious outdoor cooking vessel, not a lightweight camping pot. The spun black iron construction, large capacity, detachable stand, and flax oil seasoned finish make it better suited to repeated fire cooking, long simmering, and large communal meals.
